    The Impact You'll Make in this Role
    As a Payroll Analyst you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of a critical organization using your experience to identify opportunities and drive the team forward with creative solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and handling special payment requests.

    As a Payroll Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Identify opportunities and lead implementation efforts for process improvements and automation within payroll and associated processes.
  • Handle special payment requests, such as bonuses, commissions, and miscellaneous payments.
  • Administer the overpayment process from end to end.
  • Conducted regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Stay abreast of changes in payroll regulations and compliance requirements and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
  • Seek, share, and apply external trend knowledge and relevant information to further enhance HR processes.
  • Generate payroll reports and provide analysis as needed.
  • Assist with payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Managing key projects as assigned.
  • Your Skills and Expertise

    To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires ( at a minimum ) the following qualifications:

  • High School degree/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of eight (8) years of combined experience in Payroll, Human Resources, and/or Finance in a private, public, government or military environment
  • OR

  • Bachelor's degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university and a minimum of four (4) years of combined experience in Payroll, Human Resources, and/or Finance in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Payroll experience
  • Workday and Workday Reporting Experience
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform and any RPA tools
  • Microsoft Excel experience including ability to write macros
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
  • Work location: Remote US

    Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)

    Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
