The Grounds Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining a positive rapport with co-workers and residents while performing various tasks such as garbage collection, cleaning patios,Moving furniture when necessary Empty pet waste stations Maintaining small hand tools and shop Pressure washing Cleaning of dumpster areas Checking sprinkler system and making repairs to heads etc Operating a forklift tractor golf cart and other equipment Planting flowers shrubs and trees with miscellaneous trimming Removing excess vegetation from patios fence lines Operating a pushing or riding mower emptying clippings onto truck Operating blowers edgers street vacuum other landscaping equipment Handling gasoline chemicals property mixing chemicals Spraying insecticides maintaining spray rig Climbing working from ladder certain jobs Operating chain saw Digging repair broken water sewer lines Making minor asphalt repairs streets Painting patios balconies Maintaining good communication positive attitude Co-Workers Residents Management Following safe workplace rules practices prevent on-job injuries Working regular shifts additional hours directed Grounds Supervisor Maintenance Supervisor Performing related tasks needed
