    Description

    SourceAmerica is searching for a Senior Accountant to join its team, focused on accounting and reporting activities, and supporting presentations to the board finance and audit committees.

    Responsible for financial analysis for the NPA Recommendation process and costing and reporting when SourceAmerica is the prime contractor.

    Also responsible for maintaining the organization's financial records, preparing, and distributing financial reports, overseeing annual tax filings, and supporting audit efforts.

    This position helps connect our network of over 575 Non-Profit agencies with federal procurement opportunities across the United States Our network of Non-Profit Agencies (NPAs) perform service and product contracts mainly for Federal agencies and help employ over 33,000+ people with disabilities nationally .

    The ideal candidate will be based near SourceAmerica's National Office in Vienna, VA (greater-Washington, DC metro area), where the majority of the accounting team works.

    As a Senior Accountant, your work functions will include but are not limited to the following.

    Review monthly program sales reports, accounts receivable reports and commissions received and billing reports, to ensure proper and timely revenue reporting.

    Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of materials (support documents or reports) for the SourceAmerica Board, annual audit of SourceAmerica's financial statements, tax filings, Cooperative Agreement reporting, quarterly omnibus submission, and related responsibilities as needed.

    Assist the pricing teams which include contract management and operations for price development for the submission of SourceAmerica Prime contracts and review sub-contractor pricing submissions for accuracy and compliance to the RFP.

    Assist the Controller and Chief Financial Officer with development of the annual budget, as necessary.
    Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution instead of applicable skills training. 7 years relevant work experience in Business, Finance, or in a Public Accounting firm. 10+ years relevant work experience.
    Government contract billing and accounting experience.
    Ability to compile, analyze, evaluate and interpret data and transactions.

    We use Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) as our primary business application system for much of our office processes— experience with D365 or using similar methods is preferred.

    Bachelors or better.

    Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

    Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance regulations.
