Marian High School is seeking a full-time STEM Director/teacher for the school year. The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree, with teaching endorsements in EITHER Mathematics (EX), Science (DI- preferred, DP,or other appropriate science endorsement), OR both Math AND Science.
This position will spend half the day teaching in the classroom, and the other half of the day in the role of permanent STEM Director. Marian High School is in the middle of a multi-million-dollar capital campaign to renovate the school's Science wing. For this role, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead curriculum-level efforts as well as advise on cutting-edge educational equipment and practices.The STEM Director is expected to serve a leadership role in the establishment and maintenance of current educational best practices for STEM. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate as a subject-area expert to impact a project from the ground up.
Project management experience and demonstrated visionary leadership are strongly preferred for this role.
