    Network Security Engineer

    The client is a leading company in the Banking and Financial Services Industry who is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to join their innovative team. In this vital role, you'll collaborate closely with internal tech teams and external partners to identify, design, and deploy robust network security solutions that safeguard the client's infrastructure.

    You will have the opportunity to manage the configuration and operation of network equipment, intrusion detection systems, and firewalls. If you enjoy the continuous monitoring process for potential threats, developing security policies and procedures, as well as troubleshooting and resolving complex security issues, this is the perfect opportunity for you

    Please note this is a hybrid position - majority of time is remote but there is occasional time (<15%) onsite at the client's Houston, TX area office.

    As a Network Security Engineer you will:

    • Research and recommend network solutions to secure the environment
    • Configure and deploy network equipment and security solutions
    • Implements and oversees the operation of network devices, firewalls, and systems for detecting intrusions.
    • Manage network equipment, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
    • Monitor networks, manage and track alerts
    • Play a key role in developing security policies and procedures
    • Perform troubleshooting of network and security related issues

    Requirements:

    • 2+ years of network security experience
    • Hands-on experience configuring Cisco Security products including Network Access Control and Next Gen Firewalls
    • Expertise with SIEM solutions, IDS/IPS, performing Vulnerability Assessments (VA),
    • Cloud Security experience is a plus
    • Cisco certifications a plus
    • Experience with Routing and Switching
    • Python programming and Automation experience
    • Financial services or banking industry is preferred
    • Hybrid position - majority of time is remote but there is occasional time (<15%) onsite at client's Houston, TX area office
    • US Citizen or Green Card
