Overview:

Merrick's Energy, Manufacturing and Bioprocessing business unit is looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented Project Engineer with strong leadership skills, the ability to focus multi-discipline teams, and very strong technical and communication skills. Work with a team of talented PMs, engineers, and designers. This position will be located in our Baltimore, MD office.

The Project Engineer will work in a dynamic multi-discipline environment, supporting project Oil, Gas, Chemical and Bioprocessing projects. The individual will direct a multi-disciplined team of engineers and designers, and serve as the primary technical interface with clients, project management, and procurement professionals. The Project Engineer serves as a liaison between the Project Manager and technical disciplines and is responsible for:

• Assisting the Project Manager with managing scope, schedule, and budget.
• Leading design activities and managing design deliverables.
• Ensuring client satisfaction and working closely with the client's technical team
• Coordinating engineering disciplines and managing discipline interfaces
• Managing project resources, technical changes and expediting scheduled activities

• Minimum eight to twelve years of engineering experience of which at least five (5) years directly in markets and/or clients Merrick serves.
• Background in Mechanical or Process Engineering and industrial design.
• Experience with Oil, Gas, Chemical, Power, Industrial Manufacturing, Food & Personal Care and Bioprocessing projects.
• Experience with codes, industry standards and guidelines (ASME, API, NFPA, & PIP, etc.).
• Experience with supervising engineers and designers.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Scheduling Software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera).
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
• Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Sciences in Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program.
• Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merricks insurance carrier.
• Professional Engineering licensure is highly desired.
• Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.
