Cohen Children's Medical Center is a 202-bed tertiary children's hospital. Clinical care is provided in an 18-bed oncology unit with 8 beds specifically designed and designated for stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy, a 13-bed Ambulatory Chemotherapy Transfusion Unit and a dedicated outpatient diagnostic center. The Division of Hematology Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation/Cellular Therapy is a large quaternary care program with a strong balance of both hematology and oncology, with an outstanding fellowship program and a large clinical and research faculty engaged in cutting edge clinical and laboratory research. The hematology program features a large hemoglobinopathy program, dedicated Hemophilia Treatment Center, bone marrow failure program with a large clinical research portfolio along with a dedicated Laboratory of Developmental Erythropoiesis at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. There are numerous outpatient and in patient hematology consults.[AB1] [LJ2] [LJ3]
