- Drive process improvement in the patient care life cycle to achieve high patient satisfaction.
- Responsible for staff management of the Pre-Clinic Senior Dental Assistants, Post Graduate Dental Assistants, Dental Hygienists, and the Dental Care Coordinators.
- Oversight of operations for various outreach programs including, Schools Based Health Programs, Mobile Dental Units, Veterans Programs, and Give Kids a Smile.
- Collaborate with faculty leads and program directors to ensure clinic staffing levels are adequate to deliver excellent patient care.
- Ensure patient care and satisfaction is consistent and of the highest quality so that both student and patient are treated correctly and pleased.
- Advance strategic objectives as defined by the Associate Dean and SDM .
- Collaborate with business and operations departments on Human Resource and Finance procedures. This includes, but is not limited performance programs and evaluations, recruitment, retention, and professional growth/development.
- Serve on various SDM committees related to clinical operations and SDM objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, two+ years of experience in the dental or healthcare industry, management and patient experience.
- Master's degree in health administration, business, or related field.
- Five + years of experience in dental or healthcare patient experience.

Position Summary
The School of Dental Medicine ( SDM ) Dental Clinic is seeking a Director of Patient Care to oversee both the patient outreach programs and clinical dental staff. The Dental Clinic is an integral portion of the student experience and serves the Buffalo community through patient care and outreach. This position will supervise Dental Care Coordinators, Dental Hygienists, and Dental Assistants. The Director will report to the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and will work closely with others on the leadership team including, but not limited to the Program Directors and clinic administrators. This position will collaborate to ensure the highest quality patient care is a priority.

Salary Range $80,000 - $100,000
