    Lowboy / Heavy Haul Truck Driver - Rounds Construction Company, Inc - Brookings, South Dakota

    Join our Team as a Lowboy / Heavy Haul Truck Driver

    Are you a skilled and experienced Lowboy / Heavy Haul Truck Driver looking for a new opportunity with a reputable civil construction company? Look no further Rounds Construction, based in Brookings, SD, is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lowboy / Heavy Haul Truck Driver.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Transport heavy equipment, machinery, and materials safely and efficiently to various job sites.
    • Secure loads and ensure proper weight distribution for safe transportation.
    • Perform routine pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
    • Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation related to the transportation of goods.
    • Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards.
    • Assist with loading and unloading equipment.
    • Communicate effectively with project managers and other team members.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues immediately.

    Job Requirements:

    • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
    • Prior experience as a Lowboy / Heavy Haul Truck Driver.
    • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment.
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel overnight as required.
