    Job Description:

    To assist in the daily implementation of the sports medicine program and provide athletic training services to the intercollegiate athletic teams sponsored by Goucher College as assigned.

    Essential Job Functions:

    40% A. Provides athletic training coverage to the intercollegiate athletic teams at practices, home contests, and designated away contests.

    30 % B. Assists in the daily implementation of the sports medicine program for intercollegiate athletics, including injury prevention programs, injury evaluation, injury management, injury rehabilitation, weekly doctor's clinic and referrals. Provides education to student-athletes about injury, illness, mental health and wellness, nutrition, personal well-being.

    15 % C. Maintains accurate medical records and documentation of injuries and illnesses, coordinate insurance claims, and maintain athletic training room inventory.

    10 % D. Assists in the organization, maintenance, and supervision of the athletic training room, including supervising student workers and athletic training students from Towson University.

    Education:

    Required: Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field

    Preferred: Master's degree

    Professional Experience:

    Required: BOC certified, Maryland licensed or eligible

    Preferred: 1 year of collegiate experience
