    Quality Assurance Coordinator/Infection Preventionist - RN

    Libert Senior Living is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator/Infection Preventionist to join our team.

    Job Summary

    This role involves coordinating staff development, training, and education programs to foster quality care and education in the facility. The successful candidate will act as a mentor and coach for clinical staff, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional patient care.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive staff development program, including orientation and ongoing training
    • Monitor employees' completion of required Clinical Skills Checklist and Healthcare Academy online training
    • Test and evaluate employee knowledge and performance of quality practice techniques
    • Coordinate in-house in-service training for all staff and schedule workshops and continuing education opportunities
    • Track and trend infectious diseases in the facility
    • Maintain staff and resident immunization programs
    • Serve on the Quality Assurance Committee and attend monthly meetings
    • Conduct chart audits to ensure quality assurance standards are reflected in practice
    • Assure Hazard Communication Standards compliance
    • Review resident and employee Incident Reports and provide follow-up in-services when necessary

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Registered Nurse with current, valid license from the North Carolina or Compact State Board of Nursing
    • State-approved infection control certificate
    • Demonstrated ability to work well with nursing personnel, other departments, and have understanding, patience, and tact in working with patients, families, doctors, and others

    The ideal candidate will be dependable, flexible, and able to make decisions regarding nursing problems while considering the potential consequences for patients and staff.
