    GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Director of Retirement Plan Sales, West Coast, for MAI Retirement leads retirement plan sales and services across the western part of the country as part of a dedicated team that provides top-quality retirement program services and creative solutions to clients.

    This professional will cross sell retirement plans with highly successful benefits/insurance producers from a national insurance firm.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Strive to understand clients' goals and objectives to develop personalized, comprehensive financial solutions that will help clients reach financial success.

    Effectively work with and create strong relationships with insurance professionals from sister company.

    Work with sister company (national EB/PC firm) on referrals from employee benefit and property/casualty clients and cross selling to make retirement plan clients.

    Deliver objective, unbiased financial advice to a diverse mix of clients by analyzing investment opportunities and client needs. Utilizing planning skills and strategies to meet client needs.
    Participate in the sales process for new 401(k) business. Identifies business opportunities for both organic growth and across the company. Work within the organization to develop, position, and implement these solutions.
    Consult with clients on investment issues including performance, diversification, style and suitability regarding Retirement Plans.
    Perform Retirement Plan Diagnostic reviews with advisors for clients to ensure retirement plans are competitive and cost-efficient.
    Provide top-quality customer service to our clients, ensuring their complete satisfaction.
    Provide expert guidance and function as the technical expert on retirement plan related issues.
    Collaborate with management and leadership teams to develop and implement company-wide strategies and initiatives.

    Represent the firm on outside seminars and business organizations presenting relevant materials on the services as well as other related topics.

    Willingness to travel frequently (up to 30%) as needed.
    Focus is in Northern California.
    EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS
    Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
    MBA or master's degree in finance preferred.
    7 to 10 years' experience in financial services.
    Proven track record of developing and executing successful growth strategies.
    Advanced knowledge of retirement plan products, regulations, and trends.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), and Adobe Acrobat Pro).
