    Department Overview

    The Safety Incident Processing group is part of the Business Operations team in Enterprise Health & Safety. The team provides actionable incident processing and data accuracy to help leaders reduce risk of future injuries and drive safety program strategy.

    Position Summary

    The Business System Specialist works with Safety Department leaders, project managers, vendors, and Line of Business representatives to provide accurate safety statistics. This position will be responsible for managing safety records for assigned programs and evaluating documentation to coordinate and manage OSHA classifications for industrial related injuries. The Specialist is responsible for making timely initial incident classifications, customer support, quality control, and data analysis.

    This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The preferred work location is Oakland, CA. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

    PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

    A reasonable salary range is:​

    Bay Area Minimum: $80,000

    Bay Area Maximum: $120,000

    Job Responsibilities

    • Handle moderately complex user issues that arise with supported systems and tools.
    • Address most inquires independently, escalates the more complex problems to senior peers.
    • Coordinate and perform gatekeeping process for Injury and Motor Vehicle incidents.
    • Participate in review of company wide reporting to ensure quality and accuracy for incoming and outgoing data on employee injuries and motor vehicle incidents.
    • Participate in daily review of OSHA Recordkeeping with Team/Supervisor to ensure compliance.
    • Work with Law Department to coordinate and manage OSHA requests and citations.
    • Input and extract safety data from the Safety & Health Management System, ensuring that appropriate control logs are maintained.
    • Analyze and document moderate complexity business processes and information needs.
    • May perform various additional activities, such as user-based application testing, scope presentations, user support, etc.
    • Participate on teams that develop requirements for the business needs solution.
    • Provide timely and professional responses to Functional Areas or user inquiries. Escalate as appropriate.
    • Coordinate requirements and deliverables with Functional Areas/Lead BSS.
    • Analyze and propose solutions with some supervision.
    • Travel to other facilities for routine meetings about 10%-20%

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    • BA/BS in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
    • Experience in business, 2 years
    • Knowledge of OSHA Recordkeeping Guidelines both Federal and California.
    • Exceptional communication skills and customer focus

    Desired:

    • 3+ years of experience in similar or related job functions
    • Participation in projects of high complexity.
    • Knowledge of SAP databases
