- Lead and oversee the design and implementation of structural systems for various building types, including steel, concrete, and timber structures.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project drafters, engineers-in-training, and other team members, ensuring the successful execution of structural engineering tasks.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and sub-consultants to develop innovative and sustainable structural solutions that meet the unique requirements of each project.
- Direct the creation of detailed construction documents, including design submittals, specifications, and drawings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Support projects during the construction phase, including responding to requests for information, reviewing product submittals, and conducting site visits as needed.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and engineers-in-training, providing training and guidance to support their growth and development as structural engineers.
- Represent the structural team in marketing interviews with potential or existing clients, showcasing our expertise and capabilities in structural system design.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in civil engineering (structural emphasis), structural engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus but not required.
- 8+ years of experience as a Professional Engineer (Structural), with a focus on designing building structural systems.
- Current registration as a Structural Engineer in the State of California, or the ability to obtain registration within 6 months of employment.
- Expertise in all aspects of structural engineering design and analysis, including steel, concrete, and timber structures.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage project teams and resources.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

The Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer at TETER, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and implementation of structural systems for a diverse range of building projects. Working closely with our Principal Engineer, you will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to our structural engineering team. With your deep understanding of structural engineering principles and proven leadership skills, you will drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in every aspect of project delivery.

What You'll Do
The expected annual salary for this role is $135,000-170,000 (must be willing to work in-office 50% of each week). Actual pay will be determined based on license, experience, qualifications, geographic location, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
