    LA's leading agency serving the homeless population is looking for an Audit Case Manager

    Summary:

    Under the direction of the Housing Stabilization Managers the staff is responsible for reviewing Physical and Electronic files to ensure the eligibility criteria is met for all housing stabilization programs (Eviction Prevention, Time Limited Subsidy Families-Singles, Home Safe, Housing Navigation/Families-Singles, Pathway to Home, Inside Safe, ERF)

    Essential Functions:

    • Ensure the files are maintained up-to-date and accurate documentation in client files for service coordination/case management, housing placement, rental arrears, rental assistance, and move in assistance.
    • Ensure Physical Files and Electronic Files align to the contract requirements.
    • Review and revise all required forms to be completed in the physical file and in the electronic file.
    • Work collaboratively with the Internal Staff (Management, Case Managers, Program Coordinators, Etc.)
    • Provide the Senior Manager and/or any management staff with updates on the files audited and the outstanding items.
    • Enter data into HMIS within 24 hours of all information encountered.
    • Prepare project reports in accordance with funding requirements.
    • Contact clients for any outstanding documentation as needed.
    • Prepare and submit daily reports (files reviewed, files address, files completed, Etc.)
    • Staff will assist in training and provide support to necessary staff, providers, and other project partners participating in the project. The case manager will participate in all mandatory program and division meetings and training, as assigned by his/her HOUsupervisor and division director.
    • Prepare reports in accordance with program requirements.
    • Maintain files/records on client services in compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2 and other funding requirements for audit purposes. Adhere to all file policies and procedures.
    • Engage and maintain appropriate communication with staff.
    • Maintain appropriate boundaries; and adhere to the agency's Code of Ethics and Core Values.
    • Adhere to program designed policy and procedures.
    • Represent the Agency in a professional manner at meetings.
    • Regular attendance required.
    • Other duties as needed.

    Secondary Functions:

    Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager for Housing Services. Answer phones and route incoming calls; serve as back-up to the Intake Coordinator in his/her absence.

    Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

    • 1-2 years job related experience working with homeless individuals and families.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other database programs.
    • HMIS experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of resource development, case management and documentation.
    • Ability to work with clients from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
    • Bilingual, read, write, and speak Spanish a plus.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
    • Reliable transportation is required.

    45-60 day temp assignment with the potential to become a permanent employee

    Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
