    Summary of Role:
    Evaluate new loan submissions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal guidelines.

    Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

    • Continue to complete and support all job functions of the Mortgage Experience Processor 2 role, including:
    • Effectively maintain a production pipeline with the minimum performance standards established.
    • Perform tasks timely and accurately with limited or no follow up required by others.
    • Process all loans in accordance with Agency and Lender guidelines, including but not limited to Portfolio, Conventional and Government programs offered.
    • Maintain strong accuracy record based on pre-close and post-close audit reviews.
    • Determine supporting documents needed for underwriting submission that comply with the AUS feedback report and/or Agency guidelines.
    • Work directly with the Loan Originator or Borrower to collect supporting documents.
    • Submit fully processed files to Underwriting Team.
    • Effectively communicate individual file challenges with other departments.
    • Initiate contact with borrowers to review commitment letter and to secure outstanding conditions.
    • Distribute approval letters to applicable parties.
    • Clear approval conditions within delegated authority.
    • Complete cursory review of appraisal.
    • Complete cursory review of title.
    • Review and submit approval conditions to Underwriter.
    • Track HMDA reporting screens.
    • Confirm compliance of all regulatory disclosures, including NYS disclosures.
    • Complete a final review prior to pre-doc quality control audit and complete checklist.
    • Uncover and recommend training needs within the processing and/o originations areas based on loan submissions reviewed.
    • Recognize high performance of teammates within the processing and/or originations areas b ased on loan submissions reviewed.
    • Make underwriting recommendations.
    • Assist on special projects as assigned.
    • Mentor the Mortgage Experience Processor II role.
    • Remain current on all Investor guidelines.
    • Remain current and comply with all policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
    • Remain current on all federal mortgage regulations (RESPA, TILA).
    • C omplete other related functions as assigned.

    Minimum Job Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or GED
    • Minimum one (3) to (5) years of processing or related experience. Basic mortgage knowledge and/or Loan opener experience preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn other software applications.
    • Basic knowledge of FHLMC, FNMA and Government Lending guidelines.
    • Possess basic knowledge of Credit Union policies and products.
    • Acute attention to detail .
    • Strong oral, written and auditory communication skills .
    • Strong math , problem-solving, multi-tasking , and project planning skills
    • Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment

    Starting compensation:
    $ $24.82/hour plus a competitive benefits package.
