    About the team and the role:

    The Search team at eBay is responsible for the search page that drives a large part of eBay's core marketplace business.

    The team strives to build an experience that enables users to easily explore, find, and buy what they want through an engaging, frictionless, and trusted Search experience.

    We are seeking a Senior Product Manager, who is passionate about search, online commerce, AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, and buyer experience, to join the Search product team.

    The candidate should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and have experience defining requirements, driving cross team collaboration, and communicating with executives.

    In this role, you will work with product managers, engineers, applied researchers, user researchers, designers, and analytics teams to define solutions and make data-driven decisions.

    This person will be responsible for using generative AI technology to redefine Search for eBay, working across Retrieval, Filters, and Autocomplete to ensure the success of our AI-based features.


    What you will accomplish:
    Own product strategy and roadmap for products powered by generative AI that will cut across the Search organization, from retrieval to ads to experiencesTranslate product strategy into clear and concise specifications, make functional and user interface design tradeoffs, handle product launches, and lead the product successes post-launchData driven product decisions with a balance of near-term deliverables and longer-term investment in technology platformsPut the customer first, understand market specific nuances, and identify search algo improvements to address unique search-specific needsDrive collaboration across multiple teams to ensure teams are aligned and are working towards solving customer problemsDrive A/B testing to identify launch candidates that improve organizational goalsWhat you will bring: 5+ years with a consistent track record in product management, having previous experience building customer centric products2+ years of experience in AI/ML product managementA proven track record of building new, innovative, and engaging customer experiences informed by customer data from various sources (market research, A/B testing, user research)


    Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive decision makingDemonstrated leadership ability, self-motivated and directed, high-reaching ability to innovate quicklyThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.$149,200 - $234,850Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.

    The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
