    Job Title: HR Manager
    Location: Montgomery, AL (about 30 minutes outside)
    Department: HR
    Terms: Direct Hire / FTE 100% On-site

    Job Description:
    The HR Manager will serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership and employees, leading all aspects of human resources management at the facility. This role is responsible for fostering a high-performance culture through talent development, employee engagement, labor relations, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Strategic HR Leadership:
      Provide guidance and direction on HR policies, practices, and programs to support business goals and maintain a positive work environment.
    • Talent Management:
      Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and development initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
    • Employee Relations:
      Foster a culture of open communication and trust. Handle employee concerns, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations in a fair and consistent manner.
    • Labor Relations (if applicable):
      Manage union interactions, contract negotiations, grievance procedures, and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
    • Compliance and Policy Management:
      Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws as well as internal company policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and reports.
    • Training and Development:
      Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs to enhance employee capabilities, leadership development, and organizational growth.
    • HR Metrics and Reporting:
      Track and analyze key HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and employee engagement. Provide insights and recommend solutions.
    • HR Project Management:
      Lead or support corporate HR initiatives, system implementations, and continuous improvement efforts within the site.
    Years of Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or HR certification preferred)
    • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment
    • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
    • Experience working with unionized environments is a plus
    • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
    • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Proven ability to influence and partner with all levels of the organization
    Degree Preferred:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources
