    We're seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join our dynamic team and lead our commitment to employee well-being and regulatory compliance.


    COMPENSATION:
    $65,000-$90,000/annually (DOE %bonus

    Available Shift:
    Normal Business Hours/As needed for emergencies

    Onsite


    Job Requirements:
    Must be bilingual - English/Spanish
    3-5 years experience as Safety Manager
    Food and beverage manufacturing experience is a plus
    Experience working with workers compensation and OSHA logs and reporting

    Responsibilities
    Facilitating effective communication by translating written and spoken correspondence between English and Spanish.
    Managing and conducting annual training sessions, including HACCP (GMP), Butcher Certification, and Safety training.
    Contributing to the development and implementation of safety plans, policies, and programs to ensure a secure working environment.
    Conducting comprehensive evaluations of production positions to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) tailored to each role.
    Administering disciplinary measures in accordance with company policies for employees found in violation of regulations.

    Monitoring employee adherence to safety protocols by inspecting PPE usage and verifying compliance with safety standards for company equipment and premises.

    Managing accident reports, ensuring accurate documentation and implementing preventative strategies for future incidents, with reports filed within 24 hours of occurrence.

    Assisting in the reporting and management of worker injuries to the appropriate compensation carrier.
    Following up on medical appointments, work restrictions, and diagnoses with both physicians and employees.
    Assisting in the management of OSHA logs and other regulatory documentation.
    Conducting investigations into complaints and allegations, making decisions consistent with company policies, and documenting outcomes.
    Collaborating on special projects, providing support for both individual and team-based initiatives.

    Assisting in the coordination of employee events and responding to hourly employee inquiries regarding various topics such as working conditions, PPE, and workers' compensation.

    Managing the procurement and inventory of PPE, ensuring adequate levels for distribution to employees through supplier coordination.
    Coordinating annual audiometric testing for the Hearing Conservation Program and providing necessary data analytics for safety and training initiatives.
    Assisting in Emergency Response Training, overseeing evacuations, and implementing emergency procedures.
    Maintaining First Aid certification, serving as an active responder, and overseeing the First Aid training program.
    Monitoring and enforcing compliance with required tasks by temporary agency personnel.
    Assisting in scheduling occupational safety and health training such as LOTO, PIT Safety Certification, and Fall Protection.
    Coordinating and participating in bi-weekly Safety Committee meetings.
    Performing additional duties as required to support safety and operational needs
