Description Summary
A Crane Rigger manipulates and transports rigging lines, hoists, pulling gear, and/or support materials to assist the crane team in completing tasks. It is the Crane Rigger's first and foremost responsibility to comply with safety policies and procedures laid out by Krän and any associated governing bodies. Krän values its team members and rewards those who show exceptional work, are self-motivated, responsible, and compliant with safety standards with advancement, competitive pay, and bonuses.
Responsibilities
Identify, comply, and promote safety procedures laid out by the company
Works closely, and communicates well with internal and external crews and managers
Ascertains and selects gear, components, and cables according to the load, job site, and work schedule
Inspects, transports, assembles, and installs supporting structures, rigging, hoists and pulling gear
Uses hands, hand-tools, power-tools to secure loads to rigging
Manipulates rigging lines, and or hoist to move or support loads in compliance with safety standards
Communicate verbally or with signals to internal and external workers engaged in hoisting or lifting
Insures the safety and reliability of rigging by properly testing, maintaining, cleaning, and storing rigging equipment, cables, and components
Participate in safety, informational, and educational trainings to promote a safe work place and advance knowledge and expertise
Report all incidents, injuries, and/or accidents immediately to supervisor or manager
Complete all paperwork in a legible and timely manner
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager as needed
Proficiencies
Required:
Possess a valid CDL and clean MVR
Possess or are willing to get a NCCCO Riggers Certification
Be able to pass a fit for duty test and identify hand signals, weight limits, safety regulations and operating codes.
Pass a drug screen and background check
Desired:
Good organizational or management skills
Physical Demands
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires employers to identify essential functions of a role. As a result, this job requires that employees climb, stand, crawl, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and sit for multiple hours and must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Additionally, employee must be able to reach with arms, use hands and fingers to feel and with dexterity. Employee must also be able to work on the ground and from great heights.

Work Environment
The employee is required to wear appropriate FR clothing and PPE equipment for which Krän provides and annual allowance for. The employee could occasionally be exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee will often be performing duties near moving mechanical parts, and sometimes high or precarious places. The employee will regularly be exposed to outdoor conditions and weather within the region. The noise level in the workplace is moderate, but at times, could require hearing protection.
