    Driver 1 is responsible for picking up and delivering food products, supplies and materials to various sites and loading and unloading products from trucks. Driving vans, food trucks, and 26' Box Trucks less than 26,000 lbs GVWR.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Pick up donated food products and deliver them to agencies
    • Unload incoming and load outbound products.
    • Responsible for keeping accurate driver route paperwork.
    • Pick up and deliver Food Drives in route as assigned
    • Perform daily DVIR inspection of the vehicle.
    • Perform light vehicle maintenance tasks (fluid levels, tire maintenance, and sanitation)
    • Follows current food safety guidelines for food handlers and keeps food handling equipment clean and sanitized according to posted schedule and guidelines.
    • Assist in communicating with and maintain cordial relationships with donors, agencies, and volunteers.
    • Maintain accurate agency & donor receipts, inventory control, and related administrative tasks.
    • Cover routes for other drivers when needed
    • Very occasionally assist with warehouse duties as directed; order pulling, stocking shelves, sanitation, inventory counts, equipment, building, and grounds maintenance as assigned
    • Flexible to work overtime when necessary
    • While on the job, Food Bank of the Rockies identified clothing must be worn in compliance with standards
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Prior experience working with low-income communities preferred
    • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
    • CO driver's license and good driving record
    Expected Hours of Work:

    This role is considered full-time working approximately 40 hours per week and is eligible for overtime for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek. Work schedule is from Monday to Friday, occasionally Saturday. Local travel only; no overnight trips are required.
