    Job Description

    As a Senior Construction Quality Assurance Engineer for Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE), you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of solid waste construction projects.

    This position involves monitoring, evaluating, and verifying construction processes and materials to ensure they meet industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.

    The Senior Construction Quality Assurance Engineer collaborates with project teams to identify and resolve quality issues, implements quality control procedures, and maintains documentation to support project quality.

    Minimum Job Requirements


    Accredited four (4) year degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or global equivalent in applicable field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed; Some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.

    Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.

    Several years of experience in Solid Waste construction quality assurance, with a strong understanding of construction process and materials.

    In-depth working knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations.

    Proficiency in using quality control tools and software.

    Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.

    Leadership and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams.

    Attention to details and a commitment to upholding high-quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Quality Control and Inspection

    Conduct regular inspections of Solid Waste Construction sites to verify compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.

    Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure they align with quality requirements.

    Identify and document non-compliance issues and work with project teams to develop corrective action(s) and plans.

    Materials Testing


    Oversee the testing and analysis of construction materials (soils, aggregate and geosynthetics) to confirm their quality and suitability for the project.

    Coordinate with third-party laboratories and technicians to conduct necessary materials testing.

    Documentation and Reporting

    Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality control Activities.

    Prepare detailed quality assurance reports and communicate findings to project stakeholders.

    Document and track corrective actions and verify their completion.

    Quality Assurance Procedures

    Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and protocols for construction projects.

    Ensure that project teams understand and adhere to established quality control processes.

    Collaboration and Communication

    Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to address quality-related concerns.

    Facilitate communication between various project stakeholders to resolve quality issues efficiently.

    Risk Assessment

    Identify potential quality, safety risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.

    Participate in project assessments to assist in developing risk assessment strategies.

    Continuous Improvement

    Stay up to date with industry best practices, regulations, and emerging technologies related to construction quality assurance.

    Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance overall project quality.

    Training and Mentoring

    Provide guidance and training to junior quality assurance engineers and construction personnel.

    Foster a culture of quality and safety within construction team(s)
