    Overview

    One of our fantastic medical academic clients has an immediate opportunity for a contract Desktop Technician II role onsite in the Worcester, MA area. This will be a 6 month contract with a possibility for it to be extended.

    The Desktop Technician II role will be responsible for 65% Windows/35% MAC and will complete day to day hardware/software troubleshooting, hooking up computers, resolving printer issues, PC/laptop moves, windows/MAC troubleshoting.

    The offering contract hourly rate for this role is $35/hr. Hours are 8:30 am-5 pm M-F. Looking for someone to start working ASAP

    Responsibilities
    • Under the direction of the Manager of PC Services, provides second level support to end users
    • Maintain and repair PC hardware
    • Acknowledge and resolve user service requests utilizing the service request management system
    • Applies standard principles, concepts and techniques toward the identification and resolution of user problems
    • Provide resolution to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope
    • Interacts with all areas of Information Services as necessary
    • Escalates more difficult user issues as appropriate
    • Performs other duties as required.

    Qualifications
    • Some college education or formal training
    • MAC experience a must
    • 1-3 years if related experience
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Travel required to off-site locations
