Job summary
The DSS Accountability Office (DSS-AO) is responsible for protecting the integrity of social services programs administered by the New York City Department of Social Services (DSS). Claims and Collections pursues monetary recoveries owed to the City of New York from former Cash Assistance recipients who have received emergency shelter and/or utility arrears as stipulated in their agreement to repay.Clerical experience in an organization which investigates criminal or fraudulent activities is not acceptable.
Working knowledge of HRA / AO systems - Excellent verbal, written, interpretive, and interpersonal communication skills - Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
