The senior tax accountant is responsible for preparing the Companys federal, state, and local income tax returns, quarterly estimated tax payments, and conducting income tax research and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Participate as a member of the compliance team to prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns.
• Tax forecasting and preparation of quarterly federal, state, and local income tax estimated payments.
• Prepare tax calculations for annual income tax return, annual and quarterly income tax provisions, annual budget and 10-year plan.
• Provide technical input and recommendations for management.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 7+ years of related work experience, four of which is in income tax accounting with a certified public accountant designation or a graduate business degree. If no CPA designation or graduate business degree, eight or more years of related work experience, four of which is in income tax accounting.
• Strong knowledge of tax law and procedures, tax research skills, familiarity with various tax returns and schedules.
• Strong computer software skills.
• Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Preferences
• Advanced degree and/or CPA designation.
• Big Four Accounting Experience.
• Utility Experience
