    COMPENSATION

    Salary Range:
    Grade D UTLO - Compression Rate: $128,500

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    This position is responsible for transforming and managing the customer experience within New York City Transit.

    The incumbent is responsible for improving responsiveness and overall performance levels in the areas of customer satisfaction and station cleaning to improve the station environment at 472 stations.

    This position will oversee night operations.

    • Work with Group Station Superintendents, Station Supervisors, Station Agents and Cleaners to improve their development, overall performance and skill set.
    • Manage Heavy Duty Cleaning (HDC) Operations, Deep cleaning teams, liaison with mobile wash and station maintenance to positively impact our station environment.
    • Perform in-depth inspections of the station environment.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer and employee safety.
    • Ensures improvements are met to increase overall numbers of the Customer Satisfaction Survey.
    • Oversee and manage new hires (probationary employees) working with the Division of Stations cleaning operation.
    • Performs periodic audits to ensure compliance.
    • Coordinate and oversee cleaning efforts with Station Maintenance for Station Renovation work.
    • Oversee station agents working outside of the booth to provide enhanced customer service, providing directions when customers are present and during general orders.
    • Manage and process all Labor Relations disciplinary notifications for a respective district.
    • Oversees, manages and tracks PEETS for probationary employees.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
    High School Diploma/GED
    7 years experience
    4 years managerial/supervisory experience

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of the environment, organization and operation of rail transportation systems and station operations
    • Strong, writing, and verbal communication skills; experience in developing employees.
    • Strong understanding of Station Operations Policy and Procedures.
    • Strong background in the provision of quality customer service
    • Ability to manage a group of employees at all levels in the organization
    • Knowledge of safety principles and experience working in an environment where safety is a key component
    • Knowledge of Hexagon EAM Asset Management System
    • Background in facility cleaning operations
