    Job Description

    Chief Photographer – WLNE-TV / ABC6 in Providence, Rhode Island is looking for a talented, creative, cutting-edge Chief Photographer to join our news team.

    Candidates should have experience with shooting video, as well as solid non-linear editing skills. The Chief Photographer will supervise photographers and editors, manage all photographers and MMJ gear, and maintain our vehicle fleet.

    The Chief Photographer will train MMJs, editors and photographers on our gear and equipment and will offer feedback to MMJs, editors, and photographers on their shooting and editing.

    The Chief Photographer will shoot and edit video daily and must be able to a operate microwave truck, TVU backpacks or other live devices.

    The Chief Photographer will also shoot and send in photos and videos for immediate use on our digital and social platforms.

    The Chief Photographer will lead field logistics for special event coverage and will work closely with the rest of the news management team for both short-term and long-term planning.

    The Chief Photographer will report to the News Director and may be assigned additional duties as needed.

    This is a 24/7 business that requires employees to be flexible and available immediately during breaking news. We're looking for someone who works quickly, efficiently, and with a passion for storytelling.
