- Manage the daily operations of our multi-shift machining department within a dynamic, high-output setting
- Prioritize tasks effectively to achieve on-time delivery (OTD) targets and uphold operational efficiency in the machine shop
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in CNC operations, leveraging methodologies such as Lean principles and strategic capital expenditure investments
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering department and other internal teams to facilitate seamless integration of new product developments into the production pipeline
- Support the planning and scheduling of machining jobs to ensure adherence to critical production deadlines
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to inspire, mentor, and foster a positive team culture within the department
- Develop/administer a comprehensive training program aimed at enhancing the knowledge and proficiency of operators and machinists
- Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a secure work environment and full compliance with company safety standards
- Extensive experience in manual and CNC Machining; solid knowledge of tooling concepts and machining processes
- Five (5) or more years of supervisory experience in a Machine Shop or similar manufacturing environment; strong communication and leadership abilities
- Excellent attention to detail, a focus on quality work, and strong organizational skills are needed
- Experience in hiring, training, performance evaluation, coaching, and mentoring team members
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel) as well as CMMS software
