- Conduct psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide counseling and support services to students, helping them overcome academic, social, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to create supportive and effective learning environments.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention strategies.
- Conduct and interpret functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Offer crisis intervention and support to students and staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.
- Stay updated with best practices and legal requirements in school psychology.
- Must meet all local and state regulatory requirements for school psychologists in Kansas.
- Advanced degree in School Psychology (Master's, Specialist, or Doctorate level).
- Valid Kansas State License or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Previous experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
