    **Overview**

    EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS ELIGIBLE POSITION

    Provide program support and ensure compliance with corporate, division, and business unit purchasing policies and procedures as well as applicable government laws and regulations by performing the following duties.

    **Responsibilities**

    Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a commodity beginning with intent to purchase through

    Analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is

    Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested

    Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified

    Advises team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.

    Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule

    Issues RFQs and POs in accordance with company and government

    Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the

    Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of

    Coordinates appropriate methods needed to distribute commodity in a cost effective Other duties as assigned.

    Review and negotiate terms and conditions.

    **Qualifications**

    Bachelor's degree and 7-9 years related or equivalent combination of education and experience. Progressively responsible in purchasing and materials control experience in a high technology, manufacturing environment.

    Must have the extensive knowledge and ability to negotiate the best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements.

    Must be computer literate and must be proficient with mainframe operations as it relates to procurement

    word processing and spreadsheet software and have knowledge of purchasing/accounting processes.
