General Summary:
As the Plant Manager of the Accounting and Finance Department will oversee all accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and control systems are in place while driving the financial performance of the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership and Control:
Act as the financial leader at the plant, providing expertise in financial matters, guiding financial decisions, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Closing and Reporting:
Lead the monthly financial closing process, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete results. Prepare detailed financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary for plant and corporate management.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Spearhead the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasts, involving various department heads to ensure realistic and comprehensive planning.
Cost Management:
Identify and report on cost reduction opportunities and support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives. Regularly present cost reduction outcomes and ongoing strategies for improving financial efficiency.
Staff Management:
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of at least two financial specialists and/or analysts. Allocate tasks, supervise performance, and promote professional growth within the team.
Strategic Involvement:
Collaborate with the plant management team to align financial strategy with business objectives, enhancing overall operational performance. Participate in strategic meetings to provide financial insight and support business case development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial management within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a financial team.
Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives within the specified deadline, while maintaining quality and accuracy.
