Position Summary:

This position provides professional and technical skills to ensure safety, comfort, personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the provision of patient care.

This position performs the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care for patients in Critical Care.

Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient in the unit. This position is overseen by the Charge Nurse and reports to the Manager of ICU and CNO.

Required Qualifications:
Current CA. RN license

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit

Knowledge of growth and development over the life span. Knowledge of dysrhythmias and appropriate interventions

Demonstrates good communication skills. Can work in a team based environment

Current CA RN license, CPR and ACLS

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
