    Diesel TechnicianDescriptionWe are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team in Scarborough, ME.

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
    Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools. Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles. Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies. Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools.

    In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
    (Entry): Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality. (Intermediate): Completes complex internal engine repairs. Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision.

    (Advanced):
    Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools Larger more complicated engine rebuilds. Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation. Education, Licenses, CertificationsApprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)


    Vocational diploma from relevant technical institutionLocally valid driving permit (Preferred)This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

    ExperienceMinimal level of work shop experience requiredBasic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine productsThis is a Union location.

    Salary is to an extent determined by the CBA This position does not require any Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings Compensation and BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience.
