    Job Description Job Description Finance & Operations Director Job DescriptionHabitat for Humanity of Martin County (HFHMC) is hiring a Finance & Operations Director to join our team at our Stuart, FL office.

    HFHMC is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization that provides affordable housing for qualified Martin County residents.

    The Finance & Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the finance department and period-end financial reporting among other duties.


    Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
    Oversee and manage general accounting and operations functions, including but not limited to A/P, A/R, job cost allocation and reconciliation, and sales and use tax reporting Month end reconciliation for key balance sheet and cash accounts Provide monthly and ad-hoc financial statements for review by the Executive Director and Board of Directors Process employee expense reimbursements Work with third-party payroll company to ensure bi-weekly payroll is processed accurately Prepare annual budget for all departments (Retail, Construction, Mortgage Servicing, Events/Fundraising)

    Coordinate with CPA firm and insurance company for annual financial and workers compensation audits Identify and problem solve accounting issues as needed Work with Executive Director to select and administer employee benefitsQualifications:
    Ability to multi-task and prioritize various responsibilities with limited supervision to meet deadlines Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks Experience with job cost allocation Working knowledge of GAAP Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but consideration will be given for relevant work experiencePosition Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time exempt position, 40 hours/week, Monday
    • Friday.
    Daily start and end times are flexible.


    Travel:
