    Position Specific Description

    This position is for an Electrical Substation Apprentice and requires candidates to have completed and passed Indian River State College Electrical Power Technology Program.

    Job Overview


    Trains under Substation Electricians or Forepersons to qualify as an Electrician, and under their supervision performs all the duties of a Substation Electrician.

    Minimum requirements for job:

    • Must be capable of qualifying in substation switching

    Accountabilities:

    • Be capable of working at heights in excess of 20 feet
    • Is capable of lifting OSHA Standard Loads
    • Is capable of working in confined spaces

    Required Qualifications

    • Constr and Skilled Trades Test passed-CAST

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Complete IRSC Power Technology Program
