    Head of Global Claims Strategy - Global Claims Strategy & Transformation

    Multilocation (Primary US East Coast)

    This is a highly strategic function which enables the Global Claims Organization to drive strategic priorities and foster an innovative and continuous improvement culture focused on client service.

    What will your essential responsibilities include?

    · Operationalizing the Global Claims Strategic Planning process to align with Global Claims goals and priorities, including development of strategy blueprints, execution plans and roadmaps.

    · Leading the advancement and delivery of strategic initiatives that support Global Claims priorities and the Divisional/Group goals and strategy.

    · Collaborating with other members of the Strategy & Transformation function, as well as the Global and Regional Claims teams, to identify opportunities to improve business processes and the colleague and client experience.

    · Converting improvement opportunities into actionable plans including defining business benefit and costs to support business case for investment.

    · Serving as the Journey Owner for the Claims Fusion journey over the duration of the project (through 2025), accountable for delivery of the project scope and benefit on time and within budget. Project focus is on driving operational efficiencies, optimizing allocated loss adjustment expense, and enhancing the colleague and client experience to future-proof the Claims organization.

    · Monitoring and reporting on the progress and outcomes of the Claims Fusion journeys to the Global Head of Claims Strategy and Transformation, the Claims Leadership Team and other stakeholders including Regional Leadership and the Program Governance bodies.

    · Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Global and Regional Claims colleagues, Ops & Tech, Underwriting, Risk and senior executives, to ensure alignment and collaboration on journey and other strategic initiatives.

    · Establishing and supporting a communications and change management process around Global Claims strategic initiatives to ensure change is understood and new practices are adopted to optimize value creation.

    · Serving as a trusted advisor and thought partner for the Head of Claims Strategy & Transformation and Team

    Key Interactions

    · Reports to AXA XL Head of Global Claims Strategy & Transformation.

    · Collaborates closely with members of Strategy & Transformation Team – consisting of Claims Transformation & Innovation, Fusion Program Management, Claims Quality Assurance and Claims Data & Analytics.

    · Interaction with Regional & Global Claims teams, Ops & Tech colleagues and other key stakeholders, such as Underwriting, Actuarial, and Risk, as appropriate

    • Advanced knowledge and experience in insurance and within the commercial insurance claims function with a focus on transformation and continuous improvement, particularly related to processes and systems


    • Awareness of existing and emerging technologies and the possible applications to improve the commercial insurance client and colleague experience and drive operational efficiencies


    • Excellent project management skills with experience leading business transformation with a focus on execution and delivery


    • Innovative and creative thinker, willing to challenge the status quo, ask questions and explore new ideas with focus on improving the capabilities of the Global Claims function


    • Ability to work creatively within a budget and use innovation to find ways of more effectively managing resources
