Hiring full time CRNAs at TRMC in Mount Pleasant, TX. Mount Pleasant has a population of 18K+ and is less than 2 hours Northeast of Dallas, 90 minutes Northwest of Shreveport, and 1 hour West of Texarkana right on Interstate 30. TRMC is a 174-bed hospital including 5 ORs, cystoscopy room, 2 endoscopy suites, 2 L&D ORs, and 1 cath lab. TRMC qualifies for rural community student loan forgiveness.
W2 hospital employee with full benefit package offered including paid malpractice. $243k salary with 6 weeks PTO, $2500 annual CME, and negotiable sign-on/relocation bonus. 5-6 call shifts per month. Post-call day off. CRNA can make own call schedule. Flex time with an early out rotation. Bonus paid for call shifts in excess of 6 call shifts per month. Hrly bonus paid for hours worked beyond 5P if not on call and for any post-call hours worked.
Case types include ortho, general, OB/GYN, urology, podiatry, GI, plastics, ENT, and oral rehab. Bread and butter cases. CRNAs perform own spinals and epidurals. Average of 80 deliveries per month. New grads welcome.
Essential Functions
-Complete patient assessments.
-Provide the patient with education about the surgery and their recovery.
-Prepare the proper dose of anesthetic to meet the patient's needs.
-Administer medication through a variety of methods.
-Monitor the patient's vitals and anesthesia dose during surgery.
-Make changes as needed to anesthesia levels during surgery.
-Oversee the patient's safety during anesthesia recovery.
-Work with other medical staff to develop pain management programs.
-Develop and execute an effective anesthetic plan.
-Manage patient's airway and respiratory status.
-Monitor patients before, during, and after a medical procedure.
-Prepare operating rooms, set up equipment, layout supplies, and prepare necessary gases.
-Perform regular patient visits and legibly record findings in the patient records.
-Request and assess diagnostic tests.
-Remain up-to-date with the latest advances in the anesthesia field including the introduction of new medical equipment and techniques.
-Perform comprehensive health histories and physicals.
-Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations.
-Obtain informed consents for anesthesia.
-Oversee the development of a patient plan of care.
-Prescribe, and administer drugs and controlled substances (where permitted.)
-Select/insert both invasive and non-invasive monitoring modalities.
-Provide acute, chronic, and interventional pain management services.
-Provide critical care and resuscitation services.
-Request consultations.
-Perform point-of-care testing.
-Plan and initiate anesthetic techniques, including general, regional, local, and sedation.
-Utilize anesthetic techniques such as ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and other technologies to improve diagnosis and care delivery and improve patient safety and comfort.
-Respond to emergency situations using airway management and other techniques.
-Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia.
-Provide post-anesthesia care, including medication management.
-Conduct post-anesthesia evaluations.
-Perform discharge services.
-Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled.
-Performs other duties as necessary.
-Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.
-Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Work Experience
-Two years of experience working in an acute care setting as a registered nurse preferred.
-Two years of experience working as a CRNA, preferred.
-Skilled in airway management techniques and chronic pain treatment preferred.
-Possess superb communication and interpersonal skills.
-Good understanding of current anesthesia practices and techniques.
Education
-Current CRNA licensed with the Texas Board of Nursing required.
-BLS (Basic Life Support) required upon hire date.
-ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required upon hire date.
-PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred.
