- Lead in the execution of fuel-cell testing programs by working closely with, and mentoring, junior engineers to complete projects efficiently.
- Manage projects to achieve a successful outcome for both SwRI and our clients.
- Work with new and existing clients to identify future potential collaborative opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of better engineering processes by identifying opportunities for improvement and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for successful project execution and support engineers with test cell setup, daily test planning, test execution and data analysis.
- Support promotional activities including building relationship with new clients, maintaining existing client communication and preparing proposal and cost estimate.
- Work to become established as a industry leader by attending conferences and participating in paper authoring, presentations and reviews.
- Mentor and train junior level technical staff.
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Engineering degree related to Energy & Sustainability.
- 8-12 years: Experience testing automotive components (i.e. internal combustion engine, transmissions, electric motors) in a research, calibration, durability or development environment.
- 2+ years: Experience with hydrogen PEM fuel cell systems.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
