    Description

    ITV America is seeking a senior-level People leader to support the business and lead the East Coast People function. This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior and executive leadership and is heavily focused on employee relations and people leadership in a fast-paced, creative environment, while also overseeing core HR generalist responsibilities.

    Based out of the Stamford, CT office and reporting to the Chief People Officer in Los Angeles, this role requires travel to support our productions on location. During active production periods, the role involves on-site support with long hours, non-traditional work schedules, and the potential for long periods of time on location. Outside of production travel, the position functions as a senior, office-based People leadership role supporting our teams locally in Stamford.

    While audiences see romance, drama, and unforgettable moments on screen, behind the scenes is an immersive production environment that requires structure, discretion, and strong people leadership. This role helps ensure that creative excellence is supported by consistent people practices, sound judgment, and a respectful workplace culture.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (OFFICE)

    • Serve as the senior People team leader on the East Coast, providing strategic and day-to-day HR leadership.
    • Lead and oversee the employee relations strategy, including managing and conducting sensitive and complex HR investigations.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and senior leaders on performance management, employee development, conflict resolution, and workplace conduct across diverse personalities.
    • Own core HR generalist functions, including employee lifecycle support, policy interpretation, disciplinary processes, leaves, and separations.
    • Support core people programs including recruitment, performance management, employee development, and organizational effectiveness.
    • Partner with the CPO and CEO to support employment-related contract negotiations with senior leadership.
    • Support company-wide initiatives focused on employee engagement, culture, and workplace effectiveness.
    • Arrange team building, networking, and professional development events in line with company culture.
    • Ensure HR policies, practices, and processes align with employment laws and company standards.
    • Collaborate with the People team on ad hoc projects, process improvements, system enhancements, and the introduction of any new tools to support the function.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (FIELD PRODUCTIONS)

    • Serve as the primary People Leader on-site for the production, supporting a crew potentially originating from multiple countries, and managing a high volume of real-time employee relations matters and workplace investigations with discretion and neutrality.
    • Be a visible, trusted, and approachable resource with daily presence on set who is available outside of standard hours as production needs arise.
    • Provide real-time guidance to Executive Producers, department heads, crew, and talent, often facilitating conflict resolution and mediation of interpersonal challenges before they escalat…
    • Coach leaders through difficult conversations and performance management situations, providing clear support pathways for sensitive or escalating matters.
    • Ensure consistent application of ITV America policies and workplace standards and reinforce inclusive workplace behaviors and expectations on set.
    • Monitor workplace climate and proactively identify morale, compliance, or psychological safety risks, partnering with production leadership to address stressors inherent in immersive filming environments.
    • Help ensure production practices align with legal standards, company policies, and appropriate working conditions.
    • Travel domestically and/or internationally for multi-week or multi-month periods, and integrate seamlessly into a close-knit, high-performing team.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 8+ years of progressive HR experience with deep expertise in employee relations, including conducting and overseeing complex workplace investigations.
    • Demonstrated success working in fast‑paced, creative, or non‑traditional work environments; preferably supporting television, film, or other production environments.
    • Proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment.
    • Experience operating at a mid/senior level HR leadership role supporting a region, business unit, or complex workforce.
    • Willingness and ability to travel frequently (including internationally) and work extended or irregular hours during production periods is essential.
    • Ability to operate autonomously while partnering effectively with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all levels of the organization.
    • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and work effectively with a wide range of personalities in high‑pressure environments.
    • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:


    The pay range for this role is $150,000 - $185,000 annually. Base pay may vary depending on a number of individualized factors, which may include education, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible to participate in the company's Discretionary Executive Bonus Plan, subject to the terms of the plan.
