    Description


    In this role, the Inside Sales/ Application Specialist will be the direct contact and interface with both the representative and customer for the assigned division.

    The position is responsible for providing customers and representative with ongoing technical support for both before and after a sale.

    The Inside Sales/ Application Specialist will work closely with the Customer Service team, Product Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Shipping department.

    Key Responsibilities


    • Support customers and representatives with sales quotes via telephone or email
    • Act as primary point of contact for all applications and customer quoting activity.
    • Provide product training to our customers and representatives during Armstrong in-house training sessions or onsite sales calls.
    • Design applications to customers specific needs.
    • Communicate with Production relative to special requirements or needs of the account
    • Participate with New Product Development Team during all phases of new product development process.
    • Verify that correct documentation for each product is supplied at time of order from our customers.
    • Maintain quote/customer data base for internal use and statistical analysis via Salesforce
    Key Requirements


    • Excellent written and oral communication at all levels of business
    • Technical problem solver (Hot Water/ Hydronic Systems a plus)
    • Effective and professional presentation skills for small seminar and training groups
    • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
    • Capable of prioritizing and meeting deadlines
    • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with our customers and representatives
    • Basic computer knowledge – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Adobe
    • Experience in using Salesforce a plus
    • Ability to lead project from start to finish
    • Bachelor's Degree (Engineering preferred) or Equivalent Experience
    • Gas Fired Appliance Experience preferred
    • Inside Sales/ Customer Service Experience
    • 3-5 years or work experience preferred
