    Key duties and responsibilities include:


    Coordinates and drives the underwriting treaty activities related to his/her assigned area; manages client relationship and LOB portfolio for assigned markets in coordination with Specialty Line Engineering and Marine & Energy Regional Managers plus regional P&C market units and support functions.


    Visits and meets with APAC clients and brokers frequently (with SL and/or P&C responsible or alone) to establish SCOR, to carry SCOR's vision and mission to the marketplace, to collect and analyse all the information needed for a proper underwriting process.

    Responsible to fully document the outcome of the visit in Salesforce and to address/follow-up any related issue.

    Responsible for the client relationship and the P&L results related to his/her assigned portfolio. Identifies and analyses existing and potential target clients, their strategy, finance, and needs. Evaluate and analyse overall market potential.

    Contribute to the elaboration and implementation of a strategy, client tactic as well as respective planning and accuracy of plan implementation in his/her area of competence in close coordination with Specialty Line Engineering plus Marine&Energy Regional Managers in line with our global plans.


    Accountable for an efficient administration of his/her assigned portfolio as well as for planning/putting into action pre-underwriting and underwriting operations.

    Performs in-depth technical analysis of treaty business and assumes underwriting decision taking into account the inputs received from market responsibles, Actuaries, Nat Cat, Technical Accounting, Claims, and Legal.

    Supports Regional SL Managers for Referral escalation to Head of SL Engineering or Marine&Energy when appropriate and necessary.

    Proactively monitors marketplace/market developments and explores trends / cycles and new potentials (ESG, Renewable Energy, Governmental Stimuli Packages, New Technologies, MGAs etc) in the reinsurance market and coordinates these findings with the respective departments.

    Prices the treaties which are delegated to the underwriters i.e. categorized as A/B by our pricing team. Supports key treaty clients as well with Cedent Advisory Service based on Client segmentation. Contributes to the annual (pre-) planning process and presentations as well as workshops.

    Experience:

    5-10 years of reinsurance / insurance marketing / underwriting experience. Good understanding and knowledge of the APAC construction and/or Marine&Energy markets. Solid network of brokers and/or cendants working in the engineering / construction (mainly CAR/EAR) sector or Marine&Energy sector. Engineering experience in an industrial environment is a plus. International experience including travelling.

    Has at least one core competency (LOB, Actuarial, Legal, Finance) within the reinsurance / insurance area. Combines commercial and technical skills to entrepreneurial spirit. Has the overview and is capable to operate trade-offs that maximize client satisfaction and SCOR results. Has decision-making skills.     Required Education:
    University or similar education; preferably civil or mechanical engineering background. Insurance/ Reinsurance qualifications desirable. Asian languages are a plus.
