Gouverneur Correctional Facility is a medium security facility with a Residential Rehabilitation Unit located within St. Lawrence County. The facility houses approximately 725 male incarcerated individuals. The total hours would be 40 hours per week for each position. The shifts primarily would be 6a-2p, 2p-10p & 10p-6a. This would include weekends and holidays. Adherence to Security procedures, professional conduct and dress code are required. The candidates must have one year of clinical experience.Current Job description is included below:
Job description:
provide professional nursing services to incarcerated individual population. Nursing interventions and their documentation case finding, health teaching/counseling and provision of supportive and/or restorative care.
Participate in staff training, prepare clinical and administrative reports, maintain infection control standards and function as a member of a treatment team.
The award will be made to the vendor(s) who provide the best overall value based on a combination of price and candidate qualifications.
Billing to the facility is to be done in quarter hour increments, not by minutes.Initial estimated service dates are for [6/1/24-12/1/24], however services may be extended for up to a total of two years at the same rates upon mutual agreement between the hiring agency and awarded vendor(s).
