    SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, responsible for procurement of assigned goods and services required to support ATS business plan. Uses best procurement practices to obtain lowest total cost of ownership for assigned items.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Included but not limited to;

    Performs purchasing duties requiring necessary skills to plan and procure supplies, materials, equipment and services.

    Under supervision, prepares RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs. for goods and services. Evaluates supplier proposals and recommends contract awards.

    Places purchase orders for goods and services in support of Aviation Technical Services (ATS) business plan.

    Expedites purchase orders as required to support ATS customers (internal and external )

    Resolves issues pertaining to purchase orders: receiving, invoicing discrepancies and timely closure of purchase orders.

    Has extensive contact with suppliers.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelors degree in related area preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

    CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) status strongly preferred.

    Oracle experience strongly preferred.

    Service purchasing experience strongly preferred.

    PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

    Employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time. Must be mobile within an office environment. Employee must have the manual dexterity (use of fingers, hands, arms, and shoulders) required to continually perform filing, manipulate computer keyboard and mouse and perform other desk-site duties. Extensive use of telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, scanner, and other office equipment typical of a business environment is required. The frequent reaching for and lifting of light to medium loads is required.
