Responsibilities
Program Overview
Our Intercept program caters to a diverse group of young individuals, including those engaged with various child-centered systems and those facing a high risk of separation from their families. This program focuses on redirecting youth from placements outside their homes by supporting their families in safely keeping the youth within their home environment. As a part of this role, you will be responsible for delivering intensive therapy to families within their homes.

The schedule is non-traditional but flexible, tailored around the availability of clients. Due to the substantial involvement with each family, counselors may need to commit to long hours.
Counselors must possess a personal vehicle for work purposes and carry liability insurance. Mileage is reimbursed.
**This will be a remote position covering Jackson, Morgan, Marshall, DeKalb, Cullman, Blount, and Etowah counties. Occasional travel to the Birmingham office for training sessions is required. Depending on the specialist's location, responsibilities may also extend to additional counties in the surrounding areas.
Salary
$52000 annually based on educational background and clinical license.
Qualifications
Requirements
A Master's degree in a social services field is mandatory, with eligibility for clinical licensure
Degrees such as social work, substance abuse education or counseling, psychology, criminology, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy are acceptable. Other degrees will be subject to further evaluation to ascertain qualification.
A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in a clinical counseling or case management setting is obligatory
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
Ability to juggle multiple priorities concurrently
Basic computer literacy
Capacity to sustain a flexible schedule
