    Description

    Welcome to our job opportunity as a Senior Data Scientist in Forecasting and ML Ops!

    Our client is looking for an experienced Sr Data Scientist specialized in Forecasting and ML Ops to join their team in Pleasanton, CA or Durham, NC on a 6-month contract.

    This role involves a hybrid setup with 2 – 3 days in the office per week.

    About the Job:

    Our client is in the process of enhancing their data & technology capabilities to drive business growth. They need a dedicated Data Scientist to help shape the future of forecasting and business planning. As a part of this role, you will develop and implement forecasting models using cutting-edge techniques like machine learning and statistics. Your responsibilities will include coding for the forecasting engine, creating data pipelines, and integrating predictive analytics across the organization to support decision-making.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead end-to-end ML and data science projects from inception to deployment.
    • Maintain and debug modeling codebase.
    • Manage ML Ops and address data & model drift.
    • Regularly retrain and update models and technical pipelines.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields.
    • 5+ years of experience in data science and machine learning.
    • 3+ years of business experience in a related role.
    • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and experience with big data frameworks.
    • Strong project management skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Understanding of design and architecture principles.
