Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Medical Billing Assistant for a growing Physical Therapy company. This individual would be part of a Billing Team providing in-house billing support for multiple clinics. This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy in claim submission through proper billing practices.

This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

• Timely completion of insurance billing functions
• Identification of coding and billing errors
• Communication with providers to facilitate billing accuracy
• Verification of completeness and accuracy of claims prior to submission
• Patient account updates in billing software
• Claim rejection and denial resolution
• Other job-related duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience of medical billing
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally

This individual needs to work well on a team as well as independently, be organized and detail-oriented, and good at time-management. This individual will take initiative to complete tasks and solve problems. This individual will contribute to a professional, positive, and efficient work atmosphere. Consistent attendance is essential for this position.
