    Overview:


    The Strategic Pricing and Costing Analyst is responsible for setting prices for the company's products, ensure margins are maintained, analyzes raw material and overhead cost trends to help identify ways to maintain and improve the financial position of the company.

    While this role sits within the finance group, collaboration with the operations, manufacturing and R&D teams is required to fully develop and monitor a costing and pricing strategy for the company.

    This role will be instrumental in supporting the company to achieve its financial goals and objectives.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    Synthesize external trends with internal data, including material costs and production costs, to assign competitive prices that align with internal financial goals.

    Create reports analyzing pricing and costing trends for product groups, regions, and customer types.
    Communicate findings both verbally and in written form to senior leadership for various decision-making purposes.
    Collaborate with the procurement team to identify margin improvement opportunities.
    Work with the sales organization to identify opportunities for price adjustments.
    Revise pricing decisions, if necessary, and proactively monitor products' performance to determine whether re-evaluation is needed.
    Maintain detailed records for individual products, territories and customer types for trend analysis and inform future pricing decisions.
    Communicate pricing to customers, sales representatives or others as necessary.
    Other duties as assigned.

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
    analytical skills and data-driven mindset
    communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.

    familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    years of finance experience.
    Excel experience strongly preferred
    in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related field
