    Responsibilities will include the oversight and management of active project and program tasks and teams, business development, and support for other Transportation projects, programs, and pursuits.

    Projects may include planning, preliminary engineering, final engineering, bidding and construction support services and program management for transportation or infrastructure projects for a range of active and prospective clients.

    The projects and programs will involve various market sectors including but not limited to surface transportation, transit, bridges and structures, stormwater, wastewater, utilities, and misc.

    Your Primary Responsibilities will includeFormulate and execute project opportunity capture strategies, including teaming and positioning for strategic pursuits and identification of required staff resources to win and effectively deliver projects and programsEstablish relationships with both external and internal clientsBe a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting Waggoners values both internally and externallyProven track record with client account management, project pursuit execution, and engineering staff developmentProvides management and guidance to staff, enforces company and project policies, and serves as a primary liaison between Waggoner, clients, and stakeholders.

    Manage and mentor staff to facilitate effective project and program delivery and to promote staff development.

    Responsible for administering projects and programs from inception through contract closeout, including establishing specific objectives, procedure and policies, adherence to the scope, schedule and budget, risk management, and change management.

    Demonstrated analytical skills, technical skills and communication (oral and written) skillsWhat you'll needBachelor's degree or higher;Four years of experience involving operations management in business, engineering design, construction, public works, utilities, or any appropriate field;Louisiana Professional Engineering license is preferred;Leadership or management experience working on previous Infrastructure Program(s) or at a state or local Department of Transportation or Public Works;Detailed understanding and experience in each phase of project delivery from scope development and procurement to bidding and closing out of construction;Ability to manage their time to accommodate multiple competing tasks; andDedication to delivering high quality work.


    Required Knowledge and Skills:


    Good knowledge of principles and practices involved in program management;Familiarity with principles and practices of organizational, corporate or government strategic planning;Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities;Good administrative and technical abilities;Ability to plan and supervise the work of others;Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing;Mature professional judgment;Exhibit initiative, ingenuity and resourcefulness in managing complex problems;Uphold integrity, tact and courtesy.
