    Description

    We are currently seeking multiple dynamic and detail-oriented Buyers for our client, a leading manufacturer in the engine and transmission sector.

    As a Buyer, you'll play a pivotal role in the sourcing and procurement of essential parts, directly impacting the production efficiency and innovation of high-quality engine and transmission components.

    Responsibilities:
    Plan and execute procurement activities for raw materials, goods, and services essential for engine and transmission manufacturing.
    Analyze statistical data to establish price objectives and determine the feasibility of purchasing products.
    Approve, qualify vendors, obtain quotes, examine bids, make awards, and ensure follow-up through order completion.
    Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices without compromising on quality and reliability.
    Select or recommend suppliers based on thorough analysis and trends, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules.
    Uphold anti-corruption ethics, laws, and regulations throughout all procurement activities.
    Utilize ERP/MRP and other computing systems effectively for procurement processes.
    Engage with all levels of internal and external management to foster strong relationships and ensure supply chain excellence.
    Drive moderate to substantial improvements in systems and processes to enhance supply chain performance.
    Address complex problems requiring comprehensive information gathering, analysis, and investigation, offering innovative solutions.


    JOB REQUIREMENTS
    Proven experience in procurement or buying within a manufacturing environment, especially in engine and transmission sectors.
    Strong ability to analyze data, understand market trends, and make informed purchasing decisions.
    Experience with ERP/MRP systems and proficient in various computing applications related to procurement.
    Demonstrated skill in negotiating with suppliers and understanding of supply chain mechanics.
    Knowledge of applicable anti-corruption laws and ethical practices in procurement.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with all management levels.


    Preferences:
    Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
    Experience in making process improvements within supply chain operations.
    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate in complex situations.
    Familiarity with the manufacturing sector, particularly engine and transmission components.
