- Title: Special Education Paraprofessional
- Age group: Elementary (grade 5)
- Caseload: 1:1
- Intellectual Disability in a sub-separate program
- Tenure: June, 2024 till the end of school year
- Assists teacher by helping with classroom instruction and working with children during instructional activities.
- Students with behavior needs either mental health challenges or Autism.
- May assist in planning and implementing field trips for the purpose of reinforcing classroom objectives.
- Monitors children's behavior inside and outside of the classroom. Escorts students to areas on campus.
- Prepares classroom for activities, including organizing assignments and/or preparing homework folders.
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent and associate degree or completion of 48 college units or passage of Instructional Aide Test.
- Minimum of one-year experience working with children as a Special Education Paraprofessional.
